Minutes          June minutes approved with one change (old business) - Motion by Steve Campbell/second by Barbara Stoddard

 

Treasurer’s Report    Revised report handed out/new balance $2256.95-Motion by Terry Heffernan/second by Mary Ann Johnson.

 

Old Business              Discussion regarding the flying of the POW flag: Barb S called City Council office and was told we could fly “special flags” on special days for 1 day. Motion made by Barb H that we put the POW flag up and leave it up. Steve, Rick, and Terry to figure out if the flag will fit with existing hook-ups, etc. Tabled until next meeting.

Ongoing Reports

  1. Bylaws Committee: Will be meeting this month

2.   Development Committee: None

3.   Events Committee: None

4.   Hoffman Park: No news/Kitty mentioned how much use the track is getting

5.   Membership Committee: 3 new members/123 total members. Will get a list out later

6.   Publicity Committee: Draft passed out and Terry made a motion to accept/Barb H. second

7.   Safety/Homeland Security: No news

8.   Web Site Committee: Ray finally got a password! He is working on updating the site There may be a payment coming due. He will let us know. It was brought up that any changes need to be approved.

 

New Business:           Barb S. mentioned that someone called to complain about too many vehicles at 4918 E. 18th St. in non-running order and it is an eyesore. Short discussion about who to call, etc.

Kitty asked if there was any “banner” news. Steve says we have the banners, supplier has been paid and she is working on an RWNA flag.

Mary Ann brought up that we had discussed donating another $250.00 to the Eastside Neighbor Volunteer Program. They are always looking for funding help. Barb H. made motion to make the donation/Myke second.

Discussion re doing a neighborhood clean up at the Sevilli residence at the corner of Rosemont and Winsett. Terry made a motion that we do so/Greta second. Loren, Terry, Barb H., and Myke to co-ordinate the effort.

Barb H. brought up the July 4th fireworks around the neighborhood. She called the police and complained. Proposal to put some info in the newsletter before before New Years and July 4th letting people know about legalities, etc.

Steve mentioned the increase in graffiti. Myke says she is reporting them.
